On Pepperstone’s EU pages, Razor costs the raw spread plus 0.70 pips per standard lot on MT4, MT5 (USD account) and TradingView, or 0.60 on cTrader, on a USD-quoted pair. Standard costs the raw spread plus a markup given as 1 pip or a “minimum 0.6”. At equal raw spread, 1 pip favours Razor; 0.6 favours Standard or ties.

That is the answer to “pepperstone razor vs standard account”, in pips. This desk read three Pepperstone EU Limited pages on 3 October 2026: the trading-accounts page, the pricing page and a help-centre FAQ. The topic is evergreen; the figures are scoped to those EU pages and dated to that read.

Pepperstone Razor vs Standard account: what each charges

On the trading-accounts page, Razor is raw spread “from 0.0” on FX plus commission from $3.50 per lot, per side. The pricing page adds that cTrader commission is $6 round trip and TradingView $7 round trip, converted at spot for non-USD accounts. Its per-currency MT4/5 table did not render, so this post uses the $3.50 USD line.

Standard charges no FX commission; the cost sits in a markup.

Which markup does the Standard account carry: 1 pip or 0.6?

The pages disagree. The trading-accounts page says the raw spread “has a 1 pip mark up”. The pricing page says “There’s a 1 pip markup on margin FX pairs.” The help-centre FAQ says Standard “starts with minimum 0.6 mark up”. Pip Bulletin prices both.

The all-in add-on, in pips per standard lot

TradingView ($7)0.70 pips0.30 lower0.10 higher
cTrader ($6)0.60 pips0.40 lowerlevel

Conversion: round-turn dollars divided by $10, a pip on one lot of a USD-quoted pair; other pairs differ, as the commission-to-pips guide shows. The table assumes equal raw spreads, the case the break-even rule generalises. “From 0.0” is a minimum, not an average, and this desk measured no live spreads.

Is TradingView on the Standard account?

Not in the EU comparison table read: its platforms row adds TradingView for Razor only.

Questions readers ask

What is the difference between a Standard account and a Razor account?

How you pay on FX. Pepperstone’s EU pages say Razor charges raw spread plus commission, from $3.50 per lot per side; Standard charges no FX commission and builds a markup into the raw spread. The trading-accounts page calls other conditions identical.

For forex, is Pepperstone Razor worse than Standard?

Not at the 1 pip markup two EU pages state: Razor’s add-on is 0.30 to 0.40 pips lower per lot at equal raw spread. At the FAQ’s 0.6 minimum, Standard’s add-on is 0.10 pips lower than Razor on MT4, MT5 and TradingView, and level with cTrader.

Which Pepperstone account should I choose?

Pip Bulletin does not pick accounts. The sum depends on the markup reading: at 1 pip the Razor add-on is lower per lot on every platform, and at 0.6 it is not. Platform matters too: the EU table lists TradingView for Razor only.
